LOOKING FOR LUCKY

LOOKING FOR LUCKY

Dir. Jiang Jia Chen - China - 2017 - 109'
LOOKING FOR LUCKY is part of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Collection and is presented by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society and Heyi pictures. For more information on The Collection and HKIFFS, please check out their website here: [coming soon]
A rousing dog and man comedy composed of just sixty-one shots, and set in Shenyang in northeastern China, where people argue continuously forever. The film takes off from the premises of an graduate student losing his professor’s dog and must enlist his father’s help to retrieve it, lest his prospects of a tutorship vanishes. A biting satire on every conceivable ill in Red China, and an endearing portrait of a father-and-son relationship.
