HAPPINESS OF FISH
DIR. David Thian - Korea / Malaysia - 2017 - Fantasy / Romance - 110'
Shinny, an optimistic young woman, daydreams about all things Korean as she works any job in her village to fund her dream of going to Seoul. One day, she lands what seems like the perfect job: being the guide of a young Korean man, Kim Ho-Won. Her excitement soon comes to bust as he falls short of the idols she sees on TV. Not only that, but he doesn’t want to do anything Korean. Instead, he is fascinated with her backwater Malaysian town. In introducing her world to Kim Ho Won, she learns more about the place she's taken for granted and the Korea of her dreams.
